Celebrating the Life of Pamela Danene Woodson

Pamela Danene Woodson, 61, of Springfield, Illinois, went home to be with the Lord at St. John's Hospital. She was born on April 26, 1964, in Danville, Illinois, to Jimmie R. Woodson and the late Jameseller Woodson.

Pamela was a woman who lit up every room she entered. She had a gift for words and used that gift to minister and as a motivational speaker to encourage, uplift, and guide others. Her message was always rooted in hope, perseverance, and love. Beyond the stage, she poured her heart into planning events that brought joy to so many and coaching and refereeing basketball, where she not only taught the game but also lite lessons that shaped the lives of her players.

Her strength, laughter, and kindness touched everyone who knew her. Pamela loved deeply and lived boldly, never missing an opportunity to celebrate the people around her. She loved to travel with her friends both in and out of the country.

She is survived by her father, Jimmie R. Woodson, her brother, Patrick Nelson, her goddaughter Camille Espinal and a wide circle of family and friends who will forever cherish her memory. She is preceded in death by her loving mother, Jameseller Woodson.

A memorial service to honor Pamela's life will be held at Fresh Vision Community Church, Springfield, Illinois, and the burial to be held at Sunset Cemetery in Danville, Illinois.

Pamela's legacy is one of faith, love, and encouragement. To know her was to be reminded that every day is a gift-and that we each have the power to make the world a little brighter.
